MEET YOUR THEAPIST

Cynthia Manuel-Shah

Becoming a mom at 39 wasn't part of my plan. Like many of you, my path to motherhood came with unexpected turns - infertility treatments, a high-risk pregnancy, and then watching my tiny baby in the NICU as the world shut down for the pandemic. Between managing my parents' concerns from afar and navigating my own new motherhood, that picture-perfect vision I'd imagined crumbled into something more real and raw.

Here's the truth - even as a therapist who helped others through life transitions, I struggled to ask for help. When I finally connected with a maternal mental health specialist, everything shifted. She understood the complexity of holding multiple roles - professional, daughter, and new mother. For the first time, I saw how becoming a mother wasn't about adding another role to juggle - it was about embracing a whole new way of being.

Now, I work with women like you - accomplished professionals who are learning to mother while also caring for the generation before us. Whether you're coordinating care plans between pediatrician and geriatrician visits, or processing a birth story that didn't go as planned, you'll find someone who understands the weight of holding it all.
I bring more than clinical expertise to our sessions - I bring the lived understanding of this complex journey. Together, we'll find your way through this season, creating space for both strength and vulnerability.
